Josh Marcham wins Donnie Ray Crawford Memorial feature, Brother Trey battles head to head against Abreu

Competing against some of the best nonwing micro racers in the country, Oklahoma's Josh Marcham dominated the field on the first day of the 4th Annual Donnie Ray Crawford Memorial at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

After winning heat races in both the A-class and nonwing divisions, Marcham qualified for both main feature events, starting at pole position in nonwing and inside 5th row for A-class.

Marcham quickly pulled away from the rest of the nonwing field, leading from start to finish and capturing the feature title. He also battled in the A-class division up to the 6th place position respectively.

Meanwhile on the west coast, older brother, Trey Marcham, competed in the USAC Western States Midget show in Calistoga, California. After posting impressive qualifying times in the Josh Ford Motorsports 73, Trey earned the pole position on both nights of competition. At the start of Saturday night's feature, Trey led for four laps until an electrical malfunction cut his night short. Sunday night's race was nothing short of an exciting show as Marcham battled head to head with Chili Bowl champion, Rico Abreu. The two swapped for the lead several times throughout the feature before Abreu pulled away, leaving Marcham with a standout top five finish.

Trey Marcham's next showing will be October 3 in Hanford, California. He will be wheeling the JFM 73 sprint car. Marcham is currently leading for Rookie of the Year honors in the USAC Western Sprint Car Series.
